Our standards
Community guidelines
Kindly Curious relies on members being patient, generous and honest with one another. By joining, you agree to follow these guidelines.
Be kind and patient
Everyone starts somewhere. Please answer questions without judgement.
Kindly Curious is always free
Never ask for or offer money, gifts or favours in return for help. If anyone asks you for money, please report them.
Share only what you know
Share your experience and general guidance. Please do not give regulated financial, legal or medical advice, and recommend a qualified professional where appropriate.
Arrange everything in Kindly Curious
Book times in Kindly Curious, and join calls from there. Please do not swap phone numbers, email addresses or social media, or attempt to bypass these rules. Never share bank details, passwords or your home address.
Meet online only
All Kindly Curious sessions take place by video call, using the guide's Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams link. Use your first name only on the call. Please do not arrange to meet in person.
Please reply to every hello
Guides should reply to hellos within one week, after which they close automatically. You may decline any hello, and you can pause your profile when you are unavailable.
Be reliable
If you cannot attend a call, select "Cannot make it" as early as possible. After each call, please answer "How did it go?" honestly. Either member may end the arrangement at any time.
Adults only
Kindly Curious is for people aged 18 and over. Please do not arrange help for anyone under 18 through Kindly Curious. If you think a member is under 18, please inform us.
Respect each other
No harassment, discrimination, hate speech, or sexual or romantic approaches. Kindly Curious is for sharing skills only.
You may decline at any time
Any member may decline a hello or end a conversation at any time without giving a reason.
Reporting a concern
Use "Report a concern" on any profile or conversation. We review every report and may suspend or remove accounts that break these guidelines.
